PM Modi set to leave for SCO summit in Astana, Kazakhstan today; India to get full membership of organisation



Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Kazakhstan today for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) where India will become a full member of the organisation. India will be admitted as a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) during the summit of the regional grouping on June 8-9 in Kazakhstan.
The Prime Minister is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the summit at Kazakhstan’s capital city of Astana. 
However, there is no meeting scheduled between Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif. In his departure statement, Prime Minister said, 'I will travel to Astana, Kazakhstan for two days on 8-9 June for the Summit meeting of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO).”
